Tim Korostashevsky is a Russian-Jewish documentary photographer with Azerbaijani and Cossack roots, based between the Middle East, Europe and the Caucasus region.

His work explores displacement, identity, and the emotional aftermath of political rupture - focusing on individuals navigating loss, migration and the impossibility of return.

Coming from a multicultural background, Tim approaches stories both from within and from the outside, working closely with his subjects and building long-term relationships.

Since 2015, he has been publishing as an independent photographer and photojournalist, contributing to international media and developing personal documentary projects.

He is a graduate of the International Center of Photography (ICP), where he was a Director’s Fellow in the Documentary Practice and Visual Storytelling program.
